i have a drilled tank and the bulkhead keeps leaking. I set it up 3 times and it still leaks. I need some help here guys. The bulkhead is a double threaded one from Drs Fosters and im 100% sure i set it up correctly. My last hope is to use silicone inbetween the gasket and the tank, but i dont really want to do this. I know its supposed to work without it. I've read all the posts on bulkheads, and im pretty sure i did it correctly.
The bulkhead either leaks as soon as the overflow starts working(happened 2xs),or if i start to play with the gate valve(happened once). Its seems like as soon as i touched the pipes, the gasket slipped or something. I was told to use soft plumbing instead of regular pvc, but the way my system is set up, i need a gate valve to make the overflow silent. HELP ME please....anyone got any suggestions? Thanks
