Well, I might as well say it first....
We need all the stats, how long has the tank been up and going, what kind of light, nitrates, trites, phosphates, ammonia, salinity, etc. etc.

Nitrite-0 Nitrate-0 Ph-8.2 Alk-low Copper-0.1 Ammonia-0.25 Salinity-1.025 Light-sunpac,2white6700, 2actinic 34in. both. I've had the tank up since Dec. 06 and the person I bought it from had it running for 3yrs.

where is the ammonia coming from? you shouldnt have any ammonia in your tank if its established. (I would also consider changing the lights over to 10ks or 20ks but thats most likely not the problem)
with a ph of 8.2 thats a dangerous amount of ammonia not totaly leathal but you need to get the ammonia down. If you have amquell plus you can use it to detoxify the ammonia it wont remove it or the cause but it will make your tank safer.

Copper? :scared: That's not good!! That would be my number one suspect, ammonia should also be 0. It would appear to me that you have recently had something die in there or added uncured LR or something... and I would suspect you are getting copper from either using tap water or some copper medication was used previously in the tank... corals and inverts can't handle copper at all...neither can LR and LS... What size tank? I would start researching products to eliminate copper or consider changing out the substrate (if still using the old stuff) and a major water change... would try to give the coral to somebody to hold on to until you figure out what's going on for sure.

Look for a sundial. Check how old the bulbs are. Are they getting too much/too little flow directed at/around them? Only things i can suggest.

look for either sundiel snail or nudibranch. might try a nice freshwater dip. also might try adding some chemi-pure to your filter system. either in a canister if you have one, or a hob filter. this will help remove any copper and ammonia along with a couple of water changes.

I just realized you said copper. thats bad, thats worse than bad. see if any pennies got dropped into your tank, test you water supply for copper. between the ammonia and the copper, (the copper is probably the reason you have ammonia its killing stuff off) you have the start of a serious problem on your hands. better find and eliminate the source of the copper quickly or your headed for a crash.

They don't look real good, you have to get rid of the copper and ammonia as soon as possible in my opinion. You could have some even more serious problems to come if you don't... aptistas may be stinging them also-
