I just got my first Blonde naso Tang. Out of the other items I recieved in this order, he was the one that was rarin to go and get in that tank. After putting him in the QT he is swimming around very normally but won't show interest in eating.
I've offered Tetra Marine pellet, Mysis shrimp, Formula One and Two and some Sea Veggies. That's all I have at home right now, but if anybody has a suggestion I will make a trip to town and get what he might want.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'd give him a full day to get used to his surroundings before attempting to feed... but it wouldn't hurt to keep the veggie clip in... maybe get some garlic to add to the food to help entice feeding.

Your fish was just thrown in a bag then in a box. Then sloshed around on a airplane then truck. Do you eat after a roller coaster ride? More than likley no. Let him hang out keep the lights off for a full day then try and feed. Besides you dont know if he ate before it was shipped.

Mine took atleast 4 days to start to eat. He may even start to look skinny but he will eat eventually.

Don't worry too much. My Yellow tang took 3 days to eat and my Stars and Stripes puffer took a week! He will eat when he is ready.

I wouldn't panic. Mine took about 2 weeks (with me being a nervous wreck the entire time) to finally eat. He would only pick off the rocks. Have you tried the different colors of seaweed? Mine didn't touch the green stuff, but love(d/s) the brown and purple kind. Be patient with him they a lot of times (I've noticed from cruising these board) take quite a bit of time to actually take that first bite.

Fortunately all my fish are pigs, and when I walk to the tank at 8pm with a turkey baster to get some tank water for frozen food they are already waiting.
