My poor pipefish :o(

So here is my sob story.....I got a pair of pipefish when I ordered my ponies a few months back. They were both doing great, always excited to eat, they would have a morning meet when i turned the lights on, it was very sweet.
About a week ago I noticed the bigger of the 2 pipes wasnt out for his evening feeding so I searched the tank and nothing...I looked around the tank to see if he had jumped out but found nothing......until today

I went to pick something up off the floor near my bed and there he was...all dried out

He either jumped out or got fished out by my kitty.

Poor Piper is all alone now....should I get a new pipe for her?? Are they better in pairs like Sh's???

sorry to hear about it...it's always hard to find a dried one. i've only found one dried fish and it was a freshwater shark but it's still the saddest

i don't think you should feel you have to get another. there not as social as seahorses i don't think and alot of people just keep them alone.
i've always had mine alone and he does great, i've had him for, well, i forget cause i am terrible with time, but a long time
