well, i had a rather small sfe in my 44g tank. it was doing really good then i couldnt find him for like a half hour and he didnt show up for feeding time. after looking for a while, i found him caked on to the floor.
i decided to try again. now i have a 90g with a even more secured top. yesterdxay i couldnt find him all day. i looked and looked and looked. i turned the lights off for the fish to go to sleep and with a red flashlight i looked all around for him. he still didnt come out! i knew he wasnt behind my tank. then i started to hear louder gruggling then ussual coming from my over flow....
thats when i peeled back the tint and uncovered my built in corner(thank god it wasnt in the middle of the tank) overflow to find my eel in there swimming around. after removing him by hand after about 15 minutes of stressing him out probably... he was back in the tank. now this mourning it was still dark so i took the red light to the tank again and didnt see him. went over to the overflow and sure enough HE IS BACK IN THEREKJLDSFJL:KDSJFLk;djsa;lkfjads;lkfhK:JFSKALJFDSA:KLJF:LKASJDF:KLASJDLKASJ
should i just get some type of netting to cover it up really well?
and also do eels have gills? it looked like he had a little hole near his head sort of any maybe i never noticed it until now because he was breathing heavy from being stuck in the overflow?
