my skimmer took a dump

ok so my skimmer on my 250g stopped working. and as i was messing with it (because i dont know what im doing) i accidently broke off a piece. well now i want to buy a new skimmer, i think its time anyways. im looking into an ASM G3. what do you guys think? do you just put it in the sump and plug it in or do i have to put it together?

I think you have to assemble little on ASM models if I'm not mistaken... (please don't quote me on it.)
