During feeding time my lion went in the eels den and I belive was bitten he is haveing trouble manuvering he keeps swimmng upside down and in circles. I do not see any apparent marks or cuts on him. Is it normal for them o swim upside down?and what should I look for as a sign that my snow flake was stung.

A while back i had a teesy eel rip open a lion he wasnt stung but the lion swam upside down an gasped for air for around 30 min then died but there was an obbvious bite im not to sure if the snowflake bit the lion how big is the lion and how big is the eel

My lion swims upside down at the top of the tank all the time..as though to be begging for food. Is your lion gasping for air? Does he come down to the bottom of the tank or is he just hanging out at the top in distress?

Your key statement here is "during feeding time". SFE are essentially blind and taste the water for food, my guess is the lion got into the scent trail of the food and the SFE bit the lion by accident. SFE don't usually bother fish unless there hungry.
W/ that said, depending on how bad the bite is and how much pentration into the skin and bacteria got into the wound will result in different levels of problems. Lionfish skin in all directions, but if he only swims upside down or struggles to stay bouy, then you need to treat. The circling issue is prolly not a good one either .

My Snow flake eel which is very large killed my lion fish about 3 weeks ago He bit his tail almost off and about a week later he started getting better then He bit him again and took the rest of the tail off he died within a hour. I assume it was by accident but my lion never went upside down he quit eating and was scared when ever the eel swam around I hope your does not continue mistaking him for food.
