looks almost like the one i just made for my 29 gal with an 18tall
dont kink the overflow line at all. keep it straight
as far as your baffels, just use one. the first one (larger one) should be like... 3 inches from the top of the tank, and the second one a lot lower.
You can make the big one a little lower, but you can fill the tank pretty full, but leave room for back siphon of the return line and the rest in the overflow.
mine works great
do a search on it.

you dont want to overkill the water flow.
Id say a mag 5 or 7. good pumps i hear. big time pressure.

Hi ReveX,
I basically made the same design but incorporated section between the return and the algea section to place polyester, resins ect as needed.I used a 36"tank,and used miracle mud as substrate, tried other brands that claim to do the same but did not do as well as that product,I have alot of calerpa that grows take a look.

Drill your Tank no prob, 4 easy steps
#1 Get a glass bit 1 1/2" approx depending on your bulkhead i use 1"int, it standard for 100gls and the price is 80$ canadian pick it up at home depot or any glass shop.
#2 u need a square template of where you want your hole, I use a 4"x4" piece of plywood 1/4" thick with a standard hole saw(what u use to cut holes for doornobs out) same size as your glass bit, buy one at home depot, find the center of the template and drill it out presto theres your template.
#3 Turn the tank upside down make sure you have a cup of water.Place your template in the corner tape in place.
#4 Get your Diamond bit ,and cut away pouring water on it often to keep it cool. very important do not add too much presure when you reach the end or glass will chip.
Thats it.

P.S i would incorporate a Durso overflow for the noise.just a suggestion.

Ok, thanks.
What pump whould I get that will flow at a pretty good rate at those heights? Say 3-4feet. Im looking for around a 700+ GPH.
Thx :)

Well i know in the US you have a much larger selection than we do in Canada, but i use a Rena Submersible 850 which will pump out at 3-4' 700 gls aprox if you want more use the 1250, split(TEE) the return and add a valve on one of the returns, the return with the valve have it go back to your Refugium to adjust the flow that your looking for in your tank.

The water flow through the Refug will be too fast at 700gph. Should be more like 100gph. I would recommend that you have seperate sump and refug.
Good luck - reeflooker
