Yes the 2 cylinders connect both acrylic tanks together . The fich can swim back and forth between the tanks . And I am glad I had "Slick" help me set this tank up . Just glad that part is over ....

NICE!!!
is the tank custom made? I've always wanted to set up a few smaller tanks but the water in smaller tanks are not stable. joining smaller tanks together will resolve the problem. Can you tell me where can i get this kind of tanks?

This tank we actually found for sale from some people that were moving. We picked it up for $600 for just the tank. It is 2 37.5g tanks joined together by 2 5 or 6 inch cylinders. The people told us it cost them $2500 when it was new. This tank is a custom and was built for a show. We are expermenting on building some more tanks similar to this one. If we get a few built I will let you know. What kind of set up were you looking for? Maybe like 3 or 4 connected together? If so how many gallons per section?

Oh by the way he has one bulb that is bad on the left side thats why the color is different.

Because , some people " like myself " enjoy things that are different from the norm . Why do people buy Corvette's instead of just buying a escort ? It's all about the attitude of your tank . Plus it adds a little look especially when you have a empty tank when going through the cycling process ....... But there is nothing wrong with one tank the same size either :p

That is pretty cool looking but, I have to tell you..........one of the LFS in my area has one just like it for sale. I don't know if it was a custom job but, It is two 45 gallon sections with the exact same stand..............Price = $950 for the tank and stand. If I get a chance to stop in there this week I will take a pic of it for you. Still very cool looking.

Hey Rye this one has everything built into the back of the tank "self contained" Is the one you are talking about the same? Plus he only paid $600 for this one and it is in perfect condition no scratches at all. Let me know.

slick,
i'm looking into joining 4 to 5 tanks from 10 g to 29 g. I would like to have a 10 g for sea horses, and don't want other fishes to disturb it, and have a agressive set up in a 29 g, and a "friendly" setup in another 29 g. something like that. I want them to share the water, but not going to allow all the fishes to move from one tank to another. maybe some fishes can move between 2 tanks, but definitely not wanting a goby to swim into the lion's tank. something like that.

We have the same tank. Our is by Sea Clear. But I believe Clarity Plus makes one too. Most of the acrylic tank manufacturers will custom make one if you tell them what you want. Only bad thing is when Sea Clear made the tank, they put an overflow on one side only. It really needs it on both sides because the water doesn't circulate through the tubes too well.
Our purple tang just loves the tubes but the puffer has a hard time figuring it out, especially at feeding time.
