So here is the deal: ifinally got set up with a sump w/ bioballs a mechanical filter etc. But the overflow was a leeetle bigger than I expected. I got one of the glass covers just for bowfronts by all glass, but it won't fit around the overflow, and my evap. I crazy,, so I need to get it to fit because when the water evaporates ( i live in New Mexico, so it does this pretty quickly) the return pup sterts to run dry, until I get home to top it off, and it shoots lots of i=air into my Aq. And so on... So what should I do? I don't know how I can get my tank covered now....

caroella,
if u covers are like mine oceanic and they should be the back part of the cover should be a hard vinal that can be cut if not u could take a magic marker and mark where u need it cut and take it to a glass shop they should do if for like 10 dollars last choice would be take the hole cover to the glass shop and have them cut u a new piece of glass for what ever side u need

I put the glass right on top off the overflow and push it back and it works just fine

I had a similar problem on my 72 bow. Prism skimmer would not fit (even with the plastic extender removed). I took the glass top to the show and they grinded a notch so it would fit. Cost $15.00. However, be careful, some of the glass tops are tempered. If your's is tempered, you are better off buying a new peice of glass and having it cut to fit.
