My Watchman and his maid (pistol shrimp)

Post any pics of your couples! THey are so funny to watch, i have never been able to get a good pic of the shrimp, every time i get close to the glass the goby signals the shrimp to jet. the goby however isnt affraid of me at all. I have had pistol for a year and half, and the goby for a year. anyone know the life expectancy of a shrimp?

I wish I could do that, but I have a Decorated Goby, and I'm afraid he would eat the shrimp LMAO.

That's so neat, I want to get a diamond/goby pair but will the pistol bother my fire and cleaner shrimps?

i have a lysmata and a cleaner shrimp, they all have came in contact (antena to antena) and they both just get scared of each other. They pistol shrimp always warns them by snapping shut his claw...its amazing you can actually hear the pop...at first i thought my tank was cracking... :scared: ...not funny

Mine just hooked up after several months. I have another I got last week but haven't seen him.

And you hear him popping a lot at night. I thought it was a hermit crab shell hitting the glass.
