Mystery coral, or anemone

Little help?
I have a piece of rubble in my tank that I have noticed a small soft looking brown growth on. The growth is about 1/2 the size of a dime.
It is squished into the surface of the rock it is on, and has a slight hint of green to it, almost a faint striping.
Anyways, it has never grown, moved, or reacted to touch etc.
I have always assumed it was some sort of simple mushroom, or some other slimey growth...
until tonight that is.
I had added a couple new fish today, and was looking around the tank for them after the lights had shut off... just making sure things were ok.
And thats when I noticed what my normally boring brown growth had turned into.
Under the LED moon lights, the growth had opened in the centre and extended 10 or 12 clear tentlicles out into the water. Each tenticle had a perfectly round BRIGHT pink head on it.
Overall, the growth had inflated to about the diameter of a quarter, maybe more, and the tenticles reached almost an inch up into the water.
It sure does not look like any apistatia or other problem anemone that ive seen... nor does it look like any coral ive ever seen.
Anyone out there have any thoughts? or suggestions of how I could identify this thing.
Id take a pictuer, but my camera isnt great... the night shots just dont seem to turn out.

the overall shape does... but crystal clear tenticles and almost electric looking white tips.
The picture you showed was a strawberry nem. I believe?
It was a thought that crossed my mind... but this critter has been in my tank for 2 months, and ive never seen it open... and only did tonight cause I was scoping things out later than usual.
From what I know... it only opens at night..... ive never once seen it out during the day.

Yes, it is likely either Phyllangia americana (the hidden cup coral) or a Pseudocorynactis sp.
Does it have a skeleton? If so, it is probably the former - no skeleton, the latter.

No skeleton at all.
I apprecitated the suggestion... but it was definitley not hidden cup coral.
I really have to snatch a picture of this guy.
It goes from looking like a slimy bit of mucus on a rock, to somthing quite amazing.

Since it has no skeleton, did you check out Pseudocorynactis sp. as I suggested?? I'd put money on that being what you have.
