Here is some information on your Yellow leather.Latin Name Sarcophyton elegans
Common Name Leather Coral: Yellow Leather
Also known as Yellow Umbrella Leather, Yellow Mushroom Leather, Yellow Toadstool Leather, Fiji Yellow Umbrella Leather, Fiji Yellow Toadstool
Fast Facts Make no mistake, no leather is as spectacular, more difficult to care for, or as popular as the Yellow Leather. Does best in very bright lighting, and strong water movement. Most Yellow Leathers are collected from extremely shallow water where they are exposed to intense sunlight and brutal, constantly moving current. Proper water movement is critical for these corals. A direct flow of water from a pump "drilling into the coral " will destroy newly imported pieces, but weak current is equally bad. Strong water flow throughout the tank, for example, directed at tank walls, is recommended. Alternating or pulsing water flow is even better. When placing them in your aquarium, find a good spot and leave them alone. This cannot be stressed enough. Excessive handling can damage newly arrived specimens. Once established, these corals are not as touchy as their initial requirements sound. Larger specimens are more "billowy" than smaller ones, and are notably more difficult to ship. Smaller specimens are more forgiving overall. REMEMBER leather corals expand and contract greatly, and can expand from small when you receive them to larger over a period of weeks or months. There are no other Leather Corals (or even anything photosynthetic) currently collected in this particular color of yellow.
