I have a quarantine tank that contains some type of disease which is killing the fish in it. The water parameters check good. Temperature is 78. The last 3 fish I have put into this tank have died. Symptoms violent scratching against rocks, gasping at the surface of water. Lack of interest in food. I can see no parasites on the body at all. I have had fish with ick before and successfully cured them. This is not ick kills very quick.
I have tried lowering the salinity to 1.10 on one occasion but this is with a swing armed hydrometer, a refractometer is on the way. Any suggestions on what this is and how to get it out of my quarantine tank?
