I was just looking in my seahorse tank and I saw a long skinny thing slimming it's way along the bottom. I guess he rode in on some live rock. I'm hoping ya'll can help me fiqure out what it is and if it is good or bad. In this tank all I have is: 1 seahorse, 1 green/blue legged crab, a couple of snails. This thing is a couple/few inches long and has feelers/legs all up and down the edges of it's body. It is flat and bland/netural colored. It has a head at one end cause I saw it on a small piece of something/food in the bottom on the tank and looked like it was eating it, though that end didn't really look any different from the other end. Greepy looking thing.

I would say that looks exactly like the guy in my tank. Do they reproduce asexually? I don't think I have any in my other tank and I am starting a new tank at work. I was wondering if they have a population outbreak like freshwater snails. If so I could shuffle some around. Sounds like they are good rubbish eaters. Though the guys in my other tank are so greedy there isn't any rubbish (must take after me  )

Hey,
I see them out during the day from time to time. Since my tank sits on an iron stand I can shine a flashlight under my tank and see the glass bottom. I can see lots of little tunnels/tracks where these guys move around. Kinda neat.
Take care,
Dan'l :D
PS. Mentioned them to a lfs guy once and he whipped out a book with a picture of a bristle worm wrapped around the head of a wrasse. (I think it was a wrass) Freaked me out until I check with everyone here! :D
