Myth or Reality - Dog Faced Puffer Stung By Lionfish!

I have heard that during feeding, a dog face puffer will be stung by a lionfish when competing for food. This sounds reasonable, but how often does this occur. I'm getting ready to stock a 100 gal FOWLR tank and would love to have a dog face puffer and a radianta (spelling?) lion fish, but have been avoiding it because of the above mentioned problem. I understand that I can avoid some of this by feeding on both ends of the tank and such.
How many people have actually had or known someone who has lost a puffer from a lion sting?

My Lion has never tried to sting my puffer or any other fish unless threatend and then it is only a defensive type use not offesive. He has tried to bite my trigger though but only because the trigger was trying to take the food out of his mouth. I would have to say that you should not have any problem whatsoever with a lion trying to sting a puffer when feeding. ;)

I just put a dogface in with my volitan last week. The lion was very defensive for the first couple days. He would turn the top spines at the puffer, I think it was just for defense. I didn't see any aggression.
Now they could care less about each other. Even when feeding they are just fine. Althought the puffer will not eat silversides, only krill.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about it, but it is a possibility. I had a Volitan lion mix in with some compatible fish (tangs, angels, etc.) I kept mysteriously losing the companion fish. They would get very dark and produce massive amounts of mucous and sit on the bottom, and then die about 4 or 5 days after. This baffled me for some time as other fish in the tank were fine, and water tested ok. That was until I saw a naso swim toward the corner the lion was in, and the lion simply dropped his dorsal spines (in defense, i'm sure), lunged and popped the tang. Three days later, thge tang was dead. Radiata lions are quite smaller than volitans though, so I would watch for aggression from the puffer to the lion. Lions are notriously "fun" chew toys for some fish.

Yeah, I had an 8" lion swallowed by a tesselatta eel one time with seconds of putting him in the tank. I'd have never guessed that would have happened.
