Name this CRAZY looking Gastropod?

I found it on the shore of Clearwater beach near Tampa Florida (Gulf of Mexico.)
He has a long arm he extends to fend off predators and to push himself around, a trunk like snout and two eyes on antenna like stalks.

careful, there are a few endangered species in florida that you can get yourself in trouble messing with

Aren't some of those guys deadly poisonus with their

like appendage that shoots out to

[hr]
the flesh and give you a dose of fatal poison? I've heard of people picking them up only to be stung and die right on the beach..

that would be a cone snail, they are sometimes called the cigarette snail because normally when people a stung by them, they have about enough time left to smoke a cigarette before death.
