nanno tank equipment question

hi, I am thinking about starting a 10 gallon tank and my question is what equipment will I need besides a tank, heater, light, live sand, and filter? Will I need to purchase a skimmer as well. and if I am going to use 10 gallons of water from my already cycled larger tank, will there be too much bacteria since the livesand has a tremendous amount of the bacteria

If you use live sand, thriving with life-cured live rock, and aquarium water from a pre-established tank. The cycle, is likely to be very small... possibly even unnoticeable.
Many people run nano's at that size without a skimmer, although it never hurts to run one.
