nano filtration

ive been running a 10g nano for about a year now and have always just used a whisper hang on carbon filtration filter. it has come to my attention that many people argue that carbon filtration is not nesassary on a nano tank due to the LR and LS. i was also wondering about this canaster filter that i have available now. it turns over 300 gph, i dont know if there is a rule of thumb on too much filtration on such a small aqaurium. so please help me out on this age old question.
thanks for all the help :joy:

In my experience, I'd stick with the HOB filter. I've gotten excellent results running carbon 24/7. However, this is just my opinion. :D

Depends on how much LR and LS and water movement. I have never ran any filtration on my nano's, but what works for some may not work well for others. I would say that as long as you have not had any problems I wouldnt change anything.
