nano questions

hi, i am very new to the forums..i have very very many questions...i have been saving my money up for just about 4 months and have earned 500 dollars..i am going to get a oceanic 29 gallon bio-cube.
i have many questions about fish corals, etc.
i have to wait until the end of the school year to get this tank and i am just wondering if anyone would like to recommend anything else. i would like very much to create anemone fish offspring. i would need to know how to do this.
i would also need to know if about 3.1 watts per gallon is enough for any kind of anemone? if not does anyone know how i can get a mh bulb instead of a pc?
i would also like to know how to frag all types of corals...and i dont think that i want to glue the base of the coral to the LR so is there anyway to work around that in the frag process?
please post your nano pictures here...

I'm fairly new at this too so I can't answer many of your questions, but I also have a size 29 Biocube. They only actually hold about 23 gallons, so your really lokking at about 4.17 watts per gallon. I've seen biocubes with stock lighting have some corals and anemones, but they were usually placed closer to the top. Again I'm new at this, so you'd have to let someone else tell you what kind you can keep.

i believe sunpod makes retrofit lights for nanocube thingys.... I think for what you want it'd be easier to pick up a (used) AGA. imo

If you want to get an anemone then I think you should take a look at the 24G aquapod....You can get one of those with enough lights to support an anemone and pretty much any coral stock.....

dont use the watts per gallon factor. It doesn't really let you know what you can keep. Know what type of lighting and wattage will let you know what you can keep(metal halide=MH, t5, and power compact=PC) I know that people dont recommend anemones for nano tanks cause the water conditions fluctuate easy. check out the post by demartini(spelling)? I know that it is a popular one. I know that she is very good with her nano so I would suggest try talking to her about nano tanks. With fraging it depends on what you are fragging. I think that there is a post on this in like the archives. THis is a good place to do research. Just ask questions and do a lot of research before you set things up. Try searching for fragging and I'm sure that there are tons of threads about this.
