Should i put a skimmer on my 20gal nano? i have a HOB wet-dry filter with live rock in it and a 301 aquaclear powerhead for extra water movement. i have a red sea prizm skimmer laying around. or should i just buy another wet-dry HOB filter?
How many people skim a nano? i will be doing once a week water changes.

I use the oceanic cube skimmer... its very easy and works very well. I can take collection cup pics.. nasty nasty stuff. Providing you keep the water level where it should be it foams nicely I love mine.

I still think they take to many good minerals out of the water. Like i said the water changes take the place of a skimmer and also add the good minerals back in as the skimmer doesn't.

PD - Bob Ferner (spelling) replied to a guys question about using skimmers. he said its a good idea to use one and he said the minerals they remove that are good re replaced with water changes. so you lose very little good trace elements running a skimmer. he out weighs all the junk it removes compared to the little lose of trace elements.
