this may not be a new thing to anyone else, but i was excited, so here you go, i was at one of the lfs here, and they a a 12 gal nano on display, the feeder lid was open and had a sticker on it that said do not close, so i went home and try it out for a week, this the results, the lighting looks better, and the water temp. is stable, before i kept the feeder lid opened my water temp would get almost to 83 degrees, now it never gets higher then 80.1, so if you you dont know about this trick try out for a week you will like the results.
