nano tuners retro-kit advice?

Hello all!
i was thinking about getting new lights for my bio-cube 29gal and i have been thiking about just doing a over hang lighting like t5's, but i really like the stock look of the tank with the stock canopy so my question is has anyone had any experience with using the nano tuners retro kit? the upgrade of the PC not the Mh one, any help with this would be great!

i just upgraded my hood bymeslf, a little wiring and buying a new ballast. cheaper and I could do it the way i wanted. no experience with nano-tuners though. sorry

it does not come with a ballast? did you do the single kit or the double?
