Nano Upgrade Plans

I currently have two 29g Saltwater Reef Aquariums. One is a standard 29g and the other is a 29g Biocube that has been set up with just LR, a few corals and LS for about a year. I am currently planning on breaking the standard 29g aquarium down so that I can focus on one really nice nano tank. Here are my plans: I am upgrading the biocube lighting to 1x150w MH Sunpod, I am also buying a Skimmer intended for the biocube. I want to upgrade the pump so that it will have more flow. Also, I want to replace the bioballs with some Live rock and possibly make a fuge out of one the back compartments. The first step for me is reaquascaping my 29g biocube. I want to use the live rock from the tank that I'm breaking down into my biocube. My question is: Can I safely add the live rock from the breakdown tank and put it in my biocube without the tank cycling all over again? Also, If I were to add some of the Live sand from the breakdown tank and add it to the biocube, will that start another cycle? Also, if anyone has some DIY suggestions to mod the biocube filtration, that would be great. Thanks.
