hey guys, i just receved my 12 gal jbj nano dx with moon lights today, looks relly cool. any way i have a few questions. im planning on taking lr out of my 55 gal thats completly estaplished for over a year, but im not sure weather or not to use water out of the tank its not ro its tap ive been using this water for a long time and every thing seems to be ok. but im thinking that i want to use ro( i found some at wallmart 33cent/gal) i now that there is not going to be less room for areers.so should i use water out of the 55 or ro? im planning on buying ls. my ifs only sells it in 20lbs bags is this to much?how much should i use? how should i go about adding this stuff. ive heard to wate to add the lr but im not sure this is what i think i should do please tell me what u guys thing.
1 buy ro water
2 add water and salt to tank wate a few hours for it to settle
3 ad ls (how much) wate for it to settle
4 ad lr
all of this will take place in a day or two
lett the tank cycle go from there

I would say r/o water. There are not many good out comes when using tap water. you could use the l/r from the other tank. Either way the new tank is still going to have a cycle.
