I am new to the Nano world but am absolutely loving it. The water changes are awesome. Anyway, I bought some Kent's Nano part A and B. I have asked 5 different LFS and all tell me different frequencies for dosing some say daily, some say every other day , some say 2 times a week, and some say I dont need to at all if I am doing water changes. My corals are looking good and I have about 20 pounds of live rock. No coraline algae yet but the tank has only been setup for 7 weeks.. LMK what you guys think

As a general rule, dont dose anything you dont test for. Having said that, you need to see what your calcium level is at first before dosing should even be considered. Regular frequent tests in the early stages of set up IMO should be, Alk, pH, salinity (measured with a refractometer, not a hydrometer) nitrate, nitrite and amonia. Calcium IMO isnt as important early on if your not dosing. But becomes an important factor when corals are added. If you doing weekly water changes, and in small tanks you should be, then more than likely you shouldnt have to dose at all. However test any and all elements before you dose them, then go from there. Calcium should be about 400 to 450ppm.
