Naso Tang Died!!

On monday I noticed my Naso tang hiding in the LR, when I fed them their dinner it came out and ate. It went back to the same hiding spot and was lying on its side. tuesday morning it was not coming out at all. Well tuesday night when I came home from work it was dead in front of the tank.
I don't understand, the only thing I can figure is that the other tang was bulling it and stressing the Naso out. The Naso was skinny. I have had the Naso for about 6 months. The Other Tang (Ocean)is bigger, it has been with me for a little over a year. When I bought the Naso it was just a little smaller then the other one. Well the Ocean Tang kept getting bigger and the Naso stayed small. (Maybe 3 1/2 inches)
My water is testing fine also.

Shel, I don't know what could have happened, but I wanted to tell you I'm very sorry for your loss. You might want to add this in the disease form, you should get some anwsers to your question....Later Lisa

Shel,
Sorry for your loss. I lost a Coral Beauty last night and I can't figure out why either. Maybe the big guy upstairs needed a few more for his tank and he liked ours best.

hey shel i bought a blonde naso sunday and he was eating and everything. Then He did exactly what yurs did the hiding in the rock and eating then hiding again. Well I took him out and put him in the hospital tank yeasterday and last nite he croaked. My water was also great.

I also lost my Naso 3 days ago.She started hiding out a lot, stopped eating, and layed on her side. She also lost a lot of weight.I went to town to get some various foods to see if she would take any,and when I came home....well. :( How crazy.

Sorry everyone about there losses of there nasos. My brother has had his naso for about 1/2 year and it is doing great. I always thought they were hardy fish.

Not for nothin' but I personally hear more about blone naso tangs...I also have a few sources to say that they are a bit hardier...I don't know if this is true...guess it just depends on the age old factor---THE FISH---

Terry I had the Naso for at least 6 months, and it seemed to be doing great. I have a 6 foot long tank, it is 140 gal. I just don't understand, I would love to get another one in about a month or so, but I am afaid the same thing will happen.
I thought maybe if i bought a bigger one then the Ocean Surgeon it would be ok. My LFS told me that the Ocean Surgeons can get a little aggresive, that is why I thought if I bought a bigger one it would have a bitter chance.??
