I just received him with 3 heniochus butterfly from this site on Thursday. All 3 butterfly are doing well, but the Naso Tang had the blotches since the day he came. I did the acclimating procedure like I was suppose to. I hope the blotches would go away eventually. He didn't eat until tonight he took some bite out of the garlic guard I was feeding them. He's very very shy and hides inside of the rocks until I leave the room. I hope he get used to me soon. Usually the fish that gets used to me after couple days do well and the ones that don't never lives, dunno why. I did a partial water change tonight hoping he would do better, then another water change Thursday. He's a small guy and they all live in my 55 gal tank for now until spring when I can purchase 125+ gal tank as their new home. Haven't decided what size of tank yet cause there's been some good deal in the paper for a 180 gal tank for $1000 with all the setup, LR, protein skimmer, etc etc. Can only wait til spring. I hope he would do well since all the other fish are doing well. I also know they get the blotches when lights first comes on, but he has it at all time. Maybe he's still trying to get used to his new home and he's still nervous??
:help:

Just white spots, no fungus. I've seen them on Naso Tangs before at the LFS. I know adding 4 is a lot. Keeping an close eye on them, running carbon in my filter just in case. Plus keeping up the water changes right now.

Just give him a lilttle time to get used to his surroundings and he should get better. I had a BLonde Naso at my shope do that for like 2 weeks before he got back to normal just ride it out and make sure he is eating well.

That's what I thought too. He took his first bite of food tonight since I got him Thursday from this site. He ate the garlic guard stuff. Hoping that would strengthen him. He wouldn't eat the algae strips yet, gonna wait a couple more days then try it again. For now I'm just gonna feed him something he would eat which is the garlic guard stuff. We'll see how he does...Thanks!!!

What i would recomend to do is in a couple take a little piece of seaweed get it wet and shread it into the cup and soak it in the garlic guard for a min or 2 then dump it into the tank. that should get him to eat that and the sooner your get him to eat seaweed the better of you and the fish will be .

I did that, he just let it float around the tank. It was a MESS I'll tell ya. I had to net all that stuffs out cause none of my other fish eats it. I feed them a variety of diets, brine shrimp, marine cuisine, blood worms, flakes, garlic guard, etc etc. I change them everyday. Usually they get little bit of flakes first in the morning, then at night I give them the other stuffs. I've done this one thing before too to get my other tang to eat it. I hang it underneath a rock near where it likes to hide and it would eat it until he was used to it and used to me too. I just throw it on top and let it float and he would eat it just like that. I'll give that a try and see....Thanks!!!
