naso tang

i bought a small naso tang yesterday.
for some reason he is not intrested in food. he will go to eat some and spit it out.
i have tried mysis, brine, alge strips, and formula 2. any ideas???

Could still be acclimating to the new place. Give it a few more days... put out some seaweed sheets too, preferably tied to rocks. Naso tangs tend to be more planktonivorous than most other tangs, so keep trying with your other foods.

i will try putting the strips on the rocks.
it is hard because i also have a yellow and he gets to the strips before the naso can.

That's why you QT them, so they can eat without other fish getting to it first. Also, to make sure they are disease free and healthy before introducing them to your DT.

i never QT my fish because i buy them all from the same reliable store.
the tang is now eating anywase.

The tang is currently in a 75 gallon tank with 60 pounds of live rock. he is very happy!

the tang is very small prolly 2-3 inches. like i said...he looks great!
