Naso with white string

I just picked up a new Naso tang on Friday.
Of course he has a mild case of ich, that I'll treat with hypo.
Upon close inspection I can see what appears to be a small white string, less than maybe a 1/16 " in length protruding from his side. It's always possible that it could be a peice of hair stuck to him, white cat and white bird, or could it be some sort of other parasite? In the past when I dealt with ich they where just white spots. Is this just part of the ich, or something else? If possible to be something else will hypo more than likely take care of it?
So far he's been eating the calupra that I put in the tank. Hasn't begun eating prepared foods yet. No unusual behavior that I notice.
I'd post a pic, but it's hard to get a decent pic of the Naso. For some reason he want sit still for me to take a pic.

Go ahead and do the hypo and keep an eye on this. If it continues even during hypo, it could be a single parasite that you may be able to treat with formalin bathes.
