Nassarius FTW! (Sand-Cleaners)

I've been battling all kinds of algae for a while now. I've tried all kinds of different snails and other clean-up crews, with very little success. In a last ditch effort, I got some nassarius snails. MAN! They really keep my sand and rocks clean. I've got black turbo's but they're always on the glass. I've got hermits, and yes, they do clean a little of the algae off, but not much at all.
When I added 4 nass snails, they went right to work on the sand. No kidding, I was shocked!
If you're not sure what kind of snails to get, I would highly recommend these.

Yes, definitely my favorite. They are awesome. Also, ceriths are excellent for the sandbed

You golt some special ones! I know all mine do is go under the sand and just come out to eat meat lol! They dont touch the algae at all. My cerith snails do all the algae munching~!

IME nass do an outstanding job with detritus and ceriths do not.

IDK...I think Ceriths do good too....I just bought 3 of the fany nassarius...I should get them Tuesday....

Ceriths are amazing but it is like comparing apples and oranges. Both are great at different things but serve the same purpose of helping to clean and aerate the sandbed well.

YUP....they also climb up glass and rocks....
