Hey Gang,
As my new tank is being cycle. My yellow tang is starting to have some ich in his or her fins and body. The questions i have are as follow:
1. Should i use chemical to treat the ich (ie kick ich)
2. Should i use a more natural form. i.e. clearner shirmp or clearn wrass.
Any comments?

If the tank is cycling a shrimp will not live. A wrasse will also not survive. And you shouldn't add any meds during the cycle. So your left with one of two possabilities,#1-ride it out and hope he shakes it himself,or#2,use a hospital and treat with copper. I would go with the later as the fish is stressed by the cycle and probably won't be able to cure itself. TOUGH CALL.

WOW,
great replies. Let me clarify some points. My tank is or was in the end portion of the cycling process. I had demsals for the initial batch. I retest everything before i got a tang. Yesterday, i got two clearner shrimp and hopefully it will help. I talked to my local fish shop and they recommended Greenex. I used it last night and this morning the ich are gone... dont ask me why. I cant use copper because i have live rocks and sand. The local shop said copper would kill the live rocks and sand.......
