great country ....

just heard some of the opening ceremony fireworks were pre-recorded for television appeal also.
wonder if their athletes are real?

it is not just that country it happens all over the world- kids beauty pagents are a prime example- they have to look and act a certain way be "valuable". very sad. what kind of message are we sending to the small people of the world??

You cann't expect too much different from a country that harvests talented youth to put them in concentrated training programs I mean some kids might like it but I am sure most hate it.

It happens in the USA everyday. Remember Milli Vanilli!!! One of those dudes ended up killing himself. And for the pre recorded parts of the opening ceremoy, who cares. It was for TV and it was by far the best opening ceremony ever broadcast. May not have been as nice in person but those sitting in the stadium did not see the footprint fireworks except for on the big screen TV either. Why does everything need to be bashed and not simply taken for what it is - entertainment.
