Hey big joe... I hate to go against you, seeing your a Patriots fan and all... but maybe you don't understand the rivalry here with OSU and U of M. Most years its like the only reasn for existance of the oposing team is to mess up any oportunity to advance to an inportant venue. Saying that there is a reason that OSU is ranked #1 is like sayin, why the heck did Florida kick the

[hr]
out of them last year in the title game?!...
Hale to the Victors...
GO Blue!!!

I really hope Mich. wins because I don't think Ohio St would have any chance against Oregon or LSU. I would rather see LSU and Oregon in the title game......Las Vegas agrees, they are saying Ohio St would be about a 6 point underdog to either team on a neutral site.

I would say a 50 day layoff, and them being a huge favorite had something to do with it.
Michigan fan- you guys are not really that good, but granted the huge emotional lift you could get from winning our game...it does give you a chance this year. But are you a better team.... NO. Would Ohio State beat you 4 out of 5 times....YES. So go Buckeyes and beat Blue.
Our team is capable of winning against anyone... We have a great defense and a very good offense that has many capable scoring options.
What we know about Michigan is their offense is suspect, even with Hart, and your defense is sub-par. And Carr will be out-coached.

Ohio State has shown its offensive immaturity at key times this year (ie. 4th quarter against Michigan State). Boeckman is not proven or polished to show that he will win the tough big game in a tight fourth quarter. Personally I think he's too young and will wilt in either the Michigan game or the bowl game (or both).
Michigan has one of the best running games in the country, with possibly the best back and definitely the best offensive lineman to make holes. Our wide receiving core is superior to Ohio State as is our quarterback (assuming Henne's healthy). But you are right, our defense is suspect and Ohio State's is top notch.
But I'd be careful about the 4 out of 5 talk and the suggestion that Ohio State is a better program. You have had recent success but don't make me remind you of the years of failure with John Cooper. The pendulum has swung your way recently... but it could easily swing back.

C'mon Crimzy, do you watch anything other than the big 10. Mike Hart is a late 1st rounder at best, if Darren McFadden comes out (which he will) he is a top 3 pick. Hart is the best Senior running back in the country, but don't compare him to McFadden. Couple other juniors will go ahead of him too (Stewart and Slatton).

A better receiving corps? I'll take Robiskie, Hartline, Small and Sanzenbacher over arrington and manningham any game. Boeckman may not have the experience that Henne does, but he has exactly the same amount of Bowl wins....0. Chris Wells is exactly 23 yards behind Hart in rushing yards, and Beanie has to split carries with a guy that normally falls over when you blow on him. The MSU game wasn't even close. 2 turnovers deep in our own territory that ended with 6pts is the only reason the spartans looked like they had a chance. Any team can win on any given Saturday, App. State and Stanford proved that. The team with the better defense will win on the 17th, and hopefully does a better job representing the big ten than the teams in the Rose bowl and National championship did last year.

Recent is all that counts... I'm sure Notre Dame doesn't care about the 44 years in a row that they've beatin Navy.

I'll admit Hart is pretty good. Everyone else... probably not 1st rounders. Manningham maybe late first round.
Oh and your lineman... Problem is that Hart is very injury prone.
Robiske is a beast. Speed and great hands, great routes. He is much better than your best reciever.
Ohio State would have at least 5 1st rounders in a "down year" to your 1 and a possible.
One more point... who would want to see Oregon vs. Michigan part 2 ? Because that is a possibility.

Who should play in the Championship game?
Ohio State runs the table they will be there. But who else?
Oregon is a good candidate, LSU is too, and the winner of the Big 12 which will probably be Kansas or Okla.
If Ohio State looses to Michigan - why does LSU, Okla, or Oregon deserve to go more. Okla lost to a 5-5 Colorado.
Oregon lost to California ..a 6-3 team
LSU lost to a 6-3 team - Kentucky
So the point is who is really deserving? If Ohio State lost they would fall to like 10th or something, but you look at these other teams and their losses came to teams with 3 or more losses already at this point, and Ohio State if lost would be to a 9-2 team.
This is why we need a playoff.
And how good is Kansas?

How good is Kansas? Not sure, but if I were a betting man I would have bet the farm on Nebraska as a 18 point dog.....glad I'm not. That Kansas/Mizzou game is going to be something else assuming they both win their next 2 (which they should). Then they will have to get through the Championship game likely against OU.
This year might have the best argument yet for a playoff. I don't see OSU losing to Mich., that likely leaves out either Oregon or LSU, not to mention possibly KU or OU.
I know I am biased as a PAC-10 grad (UW), but I think the Ducks beat anyone on a neutral field, and they would run OSU out of the building just like they did Mich. I know "Michigan Fan" will say "Oh, we're a much better team now"....Sure you are, so is Oregon though.

I disagree with Oregon vs Ohio State, which we may see in a Rose Bowl. Michigan has a big problem with mobile QB's. Ohio State not so much. Ohio State somewhat contained Vince Young a couple of years ago, and I know that this is basically a different team, but I think Ohio State would do much better against Oregon because we have a very athletic defense. We are fast from the front 4 all the way back. Michigan almost lost to Michigan State. That game could have easily gone in their favor at the end.
But I like Oregon.. I'm just not sure about LSU or Oklahoma. Kansas is also a questionable team but The Big 12 game will cancel that out. And who says LSU makes it because they still have a championship game also, right?
I don't want to see Kansas vs Ohio State really... just not intriging. but if they win out that's what it will be.

You may be right, I just tend to think the Big 10 struggles a little with speed (i.e. Florida), I would like to see OSU vs Oregon. I can say Tressel deserves consideration for National Coach of the Year (along with the KU coach), he has turned a "rebuilding" year into a team contending for a National Title again. They may have had a questionable out of conference schedule this year, but he has had his team ready to play every game.
