My uncle was telling me about the time, he got his with 20,000 volts of electricity. Enough to blow out the bottom of his foot, and melt his titanium watch, (melts at 4500 degrees F). Anyone else have any crazy stories like that...

Rolled my car across 4 lanes of rush hour freeway traffic in a snow storm, in Minneapolis...slammed into the median and rolled back out into the second lane. Had a semi stop literally 2 feet from the front of my car (I managed to spin 180 degrees before I rolled). Walked away, no scratches or bruises even.
Darth (best ride ever, but I wouldn't recommend it) Tang

I had a massive heart attack when I was 22. The whole left side, upper and low chambers of my heart now can barely pump, however it is very regular. I had to be resuscitated, and given one of those shots to the heart…The only thing I was thinking as I left this world was that I wasn’t ready to meet God yet.
I do remember being annoyed that they woke me up, because I was very comfortable, all the pain in my chest and arms had stopped and I was going to sleep… I had that sweet drifting feeling. Dying is easy, everything shuts down and you go to sleep..

I got shocked too. I accidentally pulled one of the spark plug wires off the coil pack on my car. In all honesty, I remember thinking, 'wow you're an idiot for doing that" and I could feel the electricity arcing out my thigh to the fender.

Let's see...electricity...
Once, I was tuning the RF coil of a plasma etcher I was repairing when my screwdriver slipped and my hand hit the coil. I found out that 11 kV at RF frequencies goes right the heck thru you. Usually, you can shake off getting shocked, but an RF zap "HITES".
Another time, I developing a test procedure for some triggered spark gaps (used to trigger the flight termination charge on missiles), and had a 5 kV supply on the parts while they were being vibrated. I forgot to switch it off and grabbed a part that was "live"...ZAP!
I'm surprised my hair isn't curly...

He was testing a UHF system, they were having people get sick from microwave poisoning. So he ran his hand along the conduit, and when it reached the leaking spot, it was so hot he jerked back and hit an exposed wire.

I canceled the ex wife's credit card. That was a near death experience.
Had blood clots hit my lungs a couple times, not fun.

mine:
I fell off a bridge when I was 6 onto the rocks near a river. 2 broken ribs and punctured my lung.
I drank and drank at a going away party one time and i think I litterally almost died. i don't recall how many shots of different alchols they bought me, but I know it was over 15. I couldn't get out of bed for two days and on the third day i was still puking and could barely walk. Probably pretty close there.
I almost drown in a swimming pool before i knew how to swim.

I know better than to mess with Cranberry...she's an RN and knows how to do evil things to a person, not to mention she knows where I sleep...

Yes, I had such a bad experience whitewater rafting on a class IV plus river on New Years day a few years ago that I won't even think about doing that big of water again in a raft or kayak. Fun is fun until you almost drown. The only explanation I have for me still being here is pure luck and maybe a guardian angel that was not afraid of getting it's wings wet.

For me it would have to be the time I had the twin Strokes within 48 hours. That was NOT FUN. Losing brain is not fun. To this day there are times I go what happened and then go oh yeah massive stroke.

Maybe Cranberry can help me fill in the blanks here but...
When I tried to deliver our 10lb 4 oz son, he didn't wanna come out. After about 24 hours of pushing and getting nowhere, my heart rate spiked (?), my blood pressure dropped and I think they said there was fever... anyway, it ended up being an emergency c-section. Although it wasn't "quite" near death, I know without todays medicinal benefits and advances, I'd be dead. So my son, my 3rd, which is my daughter and I, are all on borrowed time...

They seem to get bigger the more you have. At least that is how it worked for my family.
