Nearing a month...ich be gone???

Hey everybody.
I've had my purple pseudochromis in quarantine for almost 3 weeks now. For lack of a refractometer, I chose not to mess with hyposalinity, though i did reduce the specific grav to approx 1.020 and have kept it around that level.
Against the advice of the board, I also purchased a medication: QuICK Cure, which I have been adding daily.
After four weeks have elapsed, can I be sure that the ICH is gone? The last time I saw white sprinkles covering my fish was about 1.5 weeks ago. Since then, there have not been any outbreaks, however, I believe there may be a new problem.
The pseudo's fins seem like they have all been gnawed up, and there are these very subtle spots of white discolorations here and there on his body and on his fins.
Any ideas?

IMO, the only viable cure for ich is copper treatment that is maintained at theraputic doses for 3 weeks or hyposalinity.
I seriously doubt that your ich problem is over, and 1-1/2 wks is not long enough to make that assessment anyway.

I agree with Beth. I had a horrible case of ich. I tried everything, fish continued to die. Finally I had a horrible out break and went the copper route for fear that all my fish would be dead prior to getting down to hypo levels. I kept my fish in QT for a month in a copper solution and I have not seen a spec of ich since. Quick cure did not work for me. If I was you I would think about hypo or copper, or you will probably have to deal with another outbreak.

what copper med did you use? did you treat in display or hospital tank. If I have a sick fish how do I get him out of a display tank with lots of live rock? It seems that I will have to take the tank apart, stress out everything to catch him and probably make him worse before I can make him better. Is that my only option?

If you have a small fish that would fit in the opening of a soda bottle then you can use the soda bottle trap....if you dont know what a soda bottle trap is i will go over the process in making one( very easy). I would never use copper or hypo in the main tank if you have inverts or corals.
