Need a backup filter suggestion

What would be a good backup/secondary filter for my 72 gallon FOWLR? I have a prizm skimmer and a fluval 304. I just want something to ease the load and prevent crushed coral problems. I looked at the relatively cheap fluval plus 4, but I dont want to take up space inside my tank. Help!?

Well, you should of went with the Fluval 404 in place of the 304; depending on how much money you want to invest into another one is the key issue. You can get another Fluval which will take up minimal space, but that is about 100plus dollars. Other option is to have a whisper 4-5 just to keep the surface of the water moving.

Have you concitered a hang on filter? I have a penguin 330 (pumps 300 gph)on my 45g that does a good job. I bought mine for $23 or so a few years ago.
