Need a controller recommendation

I have a Profilux II controller, and it is great for monitoring temperature and salinity, but it is hard to program anything in and get results. It says that it can be hooked up to the internet/computer but I am at a total loss for how. Anyways, the point is, I think I am ready to give a little cheap but decent controller a go. I am looking for a "beginner" unit that can do temp, pH and basic tank controlls and that is fully upgradable with different modules/addons. Anyone have some advice on one or two controllers that they think is worth having a look at?

Apex.......you could go with the lite and add internet connection as money is fit if that's important.....

Yeah, I got into researching the Profilux and it is expensive to buy all the extra modules!
The apex lite is a good idea, but for a hundred or so more, I could buy the whole thing. The Jr. Apex is upgradable and can do pretty much everything that a full version would, the only difference is that it doesn't come with a whole lot of stuff with it (like the power bar etc.)
Is there another brand that I should be aware of?

ReefAngel might be another you could consider, but a different platform somewhat......ReefKeeper would not even be on my list of consideration.....I'm not speaking as opinion, but if you look at the true hard facts this group hasn't kept up with the times and look at the last time they've made any updates to their products or put out new items.....They are just lagging....
