need a good skimmer

can anyone tell me a good cheap skimmer i can use. sea clone looked ok, does anyone know if there good or know of a better one. my tank is a mess and all elements are high. will this help at all. <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

I have a seaclone on my 55 and it works great.
If you purchase one just make sure you get a newer model. Look at the center riser tube if its only a few inches its a newer model and if the tube extends to the top of the skimmer its an older model and best left on the shelf.

I have a prizim it is a good skimmer for a smaller tank but I would not use it on anything larger than a 55 gallon.

i like my prizm...it can be loud, but it's cheap and works really well. I got mine on ---- for like 60 or 70 brand new.

we use sea clone for the 135 w/o problems; of course we have low bioload so far & LR; sea clones are generally cheaper & quieter; older models w/ the longer inner tube had problems; new design w/ the shorter tube should not have that problem; we got ours new from petwarehouse for about $70 w/ S&H
