Need a new Camera

Hey Rey,
So whats the best dig camera under 1000.00 (600.00-700.00 would be better) I have had my Olympus 2020Z for about 5 years now. Its a good Camera but takes lousy micro (or is that macro) pictures. What's good now days?

It's a digital SLR that will give you as much or as little control as you want. Fully auto........fully manual.....and there are a slew of lenses and accessories available.
For a little bit cheaper......I really like the Canon G5 for overall performance. Excellent macro shots from this one and it's right in that price range that doesn't hurt so bad.
