Need a powerhead on the 12g NC DX?

Should I add a powerhead to my 12g nano dx or not?
I've heard some people say yes and some say not to
it couldnt hurt could it?
if so , which one should i get
I've just noticed that the brown diatoms are on the side of the tank with less flow, and on the side with the stock pump is clear......

what are you planning to do with the NC ?
what kind of corals if any

I'd go with a PH ... The more flow the better. Within reason of course. Maxi-Jets are about the best out there IMO.

My tank is still cycling, but eventually I plan to have corals.

if your just gonna have softies and some LPS then you wont need a real lot of flow
