need a replacment pump for my skimmer

Well When my ex and I broke up I had to leave my tank at the apartment for a while about 6 months . She promised to keep the maintance up for me . Well among other things the pump on my skimmer burned out so now I need to replace it but i'm not sure what kind it is or where i can find a replacment . the skimmer is an ASM G-1 . the sooner i can get this figured out the sooner I can get my tank back up and running again .

I believe they come with a Sedra 2500

If i dont use the same pump will it effect the operation of the skimmer ?

I had the same problem as you with my sedra 2500. So after it broke I decided to upgrade to a sedra 3500 on the ASM G-1skimmer and it works much better now with the bigger pump. You will need some pvc couplers to properly attach the 3500 to the smaller G-1 but it is possible.
