Need advice about base rock.

Right now I have 100# of live rock in my tank. I have had it for 2 months and the guy I bought it from had it in his tank for 6 months prior. I know I need more rock in my tank. Can I use base rock or wouuld it be better to buy live rock that is already cured?

Base rock will become seeded with that amount of LR pretty quick. Plus its cheaper.

Will the base rock jack with my parameters of my tank. My tank is already established. I was thinking about getting 50# of base rock. That would give me 150# of rock. Is that enough or close to enough for a 125g tank? Okay stupid question, does the base rock go on top or bottom or mixed in with my live rock?
