Hey MavGI....do you like the Jebo??? I was looking at one yesterday, but it didn't look very high quality? Does it run well, and how long have you had it?

What size tank...If its under a 30gal go with the prizm...if it's over 30 then get an Aqua C Remora..Best thing since sliced bread.

I have a 46 bow, with glass top.I only have about 2" from the back piece of glass to the back of the tank.So any skimmer that will fit will do.I like the Remora, looks like it will fit.The Jebo looks good as well.

Here my skimmer on my 46 bow. Its from Marine Technical Concepts. Excellent skimmer IMO. Not the best pic though.

I have a Jebo 180 for my 90 Gallon...it took a couple of weeks to break in with the microbubbles getting into the tank but since then...its been keeping my tank nice and clean....always clean out some nasty stinky crud from the collection cup ..you could get a cheap one on those auction sites...it may look cheap but it gets the job done

I tried sea clones and prisms and returned both. Not happy at all with them. Never tried the aqua c but always here good things about them.
IMO if you have a sump and the water level in your main tank never changes then a hang on skimmer will work best. From my limited experience with skimmers any kind of fluctuation with the water level will throw it off and reduce efficiency. For example you will have some evaporation everyday and then when you top off the skimmer will stop for awhile taking some time to return to normal operation.
My set up is main tank, fuge, sump. I have an in sump skimmer but place it in the fuge. Top offs water changes etc have no effect on the water level in the fuge that the skimmer is operating in and it never skips a beat no matter what kind of tank maintenance I am doing.

IMHO dont skimp on a skimmer. Its one of the most important parts of a saltwater tank. Save the $$$ for a good one.
