ok just got some reef corals and did a water change and i totally forgot about using RO water, i used tap water that i let sit for 2 days...would that be ok....or should i do another water change with RO water? i tried looking around about what the immediate danger to my coral was, didnt really found much about corals dying right away, but more like long term effects....should i change 20%water immediately? Otherwise i will just wait until the next water change. here some pics of what i have....its been a week with some of the corals

you should be fine as long as he chlorine had dissapated. you may get an algae bloom but if this is the only time youve done it, i wouldnt woory too much. IME its habitual abuse of tap water that causes issues.

Tap water has a lot of impurities like phosphates, nitrates, heavy metals, etc. I agree the chlorine is the big immediate danger -- but I think you should be alright and hopefully you don't get an algae bloom.

It's not so much adding water right away but a bacteria source.
I set up 100g volume frag tank/sump with freshly made saltwater and added coral 7 days later and fish 3 days after that.... BUT.... I put in live rock from my main tank which had the bacteria already needed to convert ammonia and nitrites which is the key. The water itself doesn't really hold much bacteria to make the difference but live rock/sponges etc is where most of your bacteria are held.
Hope that makes sense for you
