need advice on a nano tank

here's the deal.. i have a 20 gallon i am starting up... also have a 40 reef that's been going for 7 months or so...
i want a tank for work.. i like the 12 gallon cubes but dont wanna shell out the 90 bucks plus it's just too big for what i want...
what do you think of those 3 and 6 gallon bows they have at petsmart? they run around 40 bucks or so... are they essentially "toys" or beta homes? or could i actually use one of these for a nano?
i'd stock it with live rock, MAYBE some xenia for flow, as for fish i'd just go with something small... maybe a couple chromis or a tiny clown.

I would suggest you go with the 6g. 3g for a saltwater tank seems a little small although it's possible. As for fish, I would stick with one fish and maybe a shrimp goby with a pistol shrimp in there. JMO.
