Need advice on chillers: Please help! :)

Hi everyone,
I have a 29gal, not much room in my apartment, and no AC will work for the large room that my tank is in. I need a tank chiller for this summer. It is already starting to oscillate +/- 4 deg every day, and spring isn't even halfway here yet.
I was looking at a $150 solid-state thing that can go in an overflow, sump, or over-the-back filter. It says it will only lower the temp of water about 2 deg for a 30 gal.
Please, any advice you can give about what types to get or stay away from would be great. I am trying not to spend $700 for a new one.

Yes, it is the "IceProbe Thermoelectric Aquarium Chiller", and I was mistaking, it is selling for around the price you mentioned.
Any performance information regarding this product that you are willing to share?
I may not need this chiller, but I am still very interested in any practical info about them. I just moved my tank earlier today (reason for my delay in responding) to my bedroom where I have AC.
