We are ready to spend a few hundred bucks on a medal halide light strip and we need some direction on which way to go. Any thoughts? We have a 115 gallon tank with corals and inverts. Right now we have a T5 250w and 96w actinic blue bulbs.

Are you wanting to add to what you have, or just a whole new light? What EXACTLY do you have? I'm not clear on what you posted thar....

We have a Current T5 but it has no metal halide light or moon lights. We want a new light strip to replace this one.

I've heard good things about the current outer orbit with MH and T5 actinic and LED moonlights. You going to spend around 800 to 1000 for anything decent. Unless you go with a couple pendants or retrofit canopy type job.....

i recommend the hamilton hoods swf only has the smaller hoods no 6 fters but you can google by brand but these can be made to your specs .. i went with 400 w 20k but i wish i had gone 250w.. cus now i dont have a reef.. but the mh can be changed without having to replace the whole hood
