i got a couple of black and white clowns i beleive i have the male and the female sorted out. here is whats happening.
since putting them in the tank i have fed three times all three times the female has chased down food nibbling it all over the place shes a little pig.
but my male doesnt appear to even be taking a bite, does not chase any food down or seem to try and catch it as it goes by him. i am worried that hes not eating.
after i fed tonight the femals if swimming very activivly and my male seems to be hanging out near the sand in the same spot now for at least the last half hour or more, and swimming a lot less "actively"
the male is opening and closing mouth at a fairly good pace if that means anything, the female appears to be opening and closing her mouth to but less noticably.
i test my water pretty much every day for amonia nitrate and all that and water lvls are good as far as i can tell.
what do you make of it?? this is my first pair of clown fish so i really dont know how they are suppose to act let alone the differnce between the males and females
then again i could be over anaylizing since im staring at the tank all day long lol. guess ill give it a few days and see what heppens, they are new to the tank and still might be scared or stressed or both.
