Need advice on new filter

Help!!! We had a power outage today and my filter stopped working. I can't seem to get it to start back up. I need to run out to the LFS tomorrow and get a good, uncomplicated filter for my 75 gallon tank. I had a Renaissance Prime 20 canister filter. Does anyone have a suggestion for me. It can't be something that needs to be special ordered because I need it asap.

try shaking the canister or lay it down sideways. sometimes air gets in the impeller chanber and you need to get it out to restart it.

I took your advice and shook it and put it on its side. No luck. Maybe the motor burned up.
Any suggestions on what to buy?

is it full of water or empty. it may need to be filled up with water. open it up and make sure it is full.
